The Pelden Lhamoi Drupchen, Lunar calendar month 12, Dates 23-25 (3 days) is a significant festival in Bhutan dedicated to the female protective deity, Pelden Lhamo (Mahakali). Introduced in 1988, this festival features various traditional dances. One notable performance is the Nangcham, a secret dance performed exclusively in the shrine, where dancers circumambulate the mandala. Additionally, other monk dances are showcased for the public to witness, offering a glimpse into Bhutan's rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
